With more than 30 years of experience as a bilingual speech-language pathologist, Normie Rodríguez, M.S., CCC-SLP, has dedicated her career to supporting young children’s communication development and partnering with families during some of the most important years of development.

Throughout her career, she has worked in hospitals, clinics, early intervention programs, public schools, charter schools, and multidisciplinary settings across Southern Arizona. These experiences have shaped a philosophy rooted in one simple belief: children communicate best when they feel safe, connected, understood, and supported.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Normie has spent decades serving culturally and linguistically diverse families with compassion, respect, and individualized care. Her therapy is relationship-based, play-centered, and designed to fit naturally into everyday family life. She partners with caregivers to support communication through everyday routines, play, and joyful connection, helping strategies become a natural part of family life.

Normie earned her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Texas Christian University and her bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in Arizona.

After more than three decades serving children and families across Southern Arizona, Normie founded Nido Speech & Language to create a practice where families feel welcomed, supported, and empowered from the very first conversation.

She created Nido to offer a more personal model of care that allows time for connection, collaboration, and meaningful relationships while supporting each child’s unique path toward communication.

Normie specializes in supporting infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families during the earliest years of communication development.
